Acting camp for teens to start up
The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades will offer a teen acting camp, "The Acting Experience," from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 8-July 31.
The camp will feature scene-study and improv workshops led by writer/director Matt Okin, who currently has two shows playing in New York City.
Okin brings new insights and skills to intermediate to advanced actors. His workshops use the latest improv techniques and a fresh approach to script work that draws on dynamic scenes from recent films and contemporary off-Broadway shows.
An end-of session presentation for industry professionals is arranged for all students who are ready.
Program tuition is $240.
The JCC is located at 411 E. Clinton Ave., Tenafly.
