The response was overwhelming, so much so that we ran out of our original supply of single-use cameras and had to come up with a few more.

As a result of that, some parents were only picking up cameras for their children at the same time others were returning theirs.

In an effort to accommodate everyone taking part — including those who may have forgotten about our original June 23 deadline — we have extended the time allotted for the children to take their pictures. It is now Monday, July 7.

Once we have all the cameras back, we will have the pictures developed. We will lay out as many photo pages as we can and start running them later this summer.

We will publish as many as possible. So if you don’t see your children’s pictures right away, please be patient. We will try to print pictures from each child who took part.
