Loretta Mickolic
BERGENFIELD — Loretta Mickolic (nee Tuers), 90, of Bergenfield died March 20.
She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church and a member of its Rosary Society and Golden Age Club.
Mrs. Mickolic was predeceased by her husband, Laurence Mickolic; her daughter, Linda; and her son, Laurence.
She is survived by nieces, Marianne and Debra Daub; and many other nieces and nephews.
There was a funeral liturgy at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield, Tuesday, March 25. Interment was in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.

Susan E. Dowling
DUMONT — Susan E. Dowling, 72, of Dumont, died March 7 in Dover.
She was born in New York and had lived in Dumont for the last 50 years.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont.
Mrs. Dowling was predeceased by her brother, William Foye, in 2002 and her sister, Catherine Curry, in 2002.
She is survived by her husband, William J.; her children and their spouses, Patricia and Joseph Turiello of Denville, Michael and Barbara Dowling of New Milford and William and Barbara Dowling of Bergenfield; her brother, John Foye of Ramsey; her sisters, Agnes Foye of Leesburg, Fla., and Anne Taxter of Dumont; and eight grandchildren, Michael, Daniel and Kristin Turiello, and Brian, James, Lauren, Caitlyn and Katie Dowling.
A funeral Mass was offered March 10 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont, with burial in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Arrangements were made by the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.

Charles J. Fox
DUMONT — Charles J. Fox, 89, of Dumont, died March 16 at his home.
He was born in Washington, D.C., son of the late Harry and Mary Fox.
Mr. Fox was a Navy veteran of during World War II, serving in the Pacific.
He was a graduate of Sienna College, Albany, N.Y., and in 1941 began a career with the FBI a tour guide at FBI headquarters and as a special messenger to J. Edgar Hoover. He retired as a special agent in 1972.
Mr. Fox later joined Wells Fargo, from where he retired 10 years later.
Surviving are Shirley (nee Hartnett), his wife of 57 years; his children and their spouses, Timothy and Amy, Hollyanne and Jon, Maureen and Frank, and Dawn and Lyle; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Marie A. Gibeau and Mary A. DeCoste.
A funeral Mass was offered March 19 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Haworth. Interment was in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dumont Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 108 Brook St., Dumont NJ 07628 or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Grace England
BERGENFIELD — Grace (Brown) England, 80, of Bergenfield, formerly of Manchester, Conn., died Sunday, March 16.
She was born in Manchester on Dec. 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Elliott J. and Grace M (Vaughan) Brown.
She was raised in Manchester and has resided in New Jersey since 1964.
Prior to her retirement in 1991, Mrs. England was a registered nurse at Valley Nursing Home (Care One) in Westwood.
She was the wife of the late Frederick O. England and mother of the late Merry A. McCrimlisk. She was also predeceased by a sister, Jean Newbury; and four brothers, Elliot James, Robert, Richard and Herbert Brown.
Mrs. England is survived by a son, Frederick O. England and his wife Ranetta of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Cynthia Robertson and her husband Terence of Bergenfield, and Patricia J. England of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Marjorie St. George and her husband Roger of Enfield, Conn.; three granddaughters, Merry Robertson, Natalie Robertson and Russlyn Kerns; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 22 at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St., Manchester, Conn,, followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.

Angiela Manlangit Sunga
PARAMUS — Angiela Manlangit Sunga, 31, of Paramus, died March 19 in The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood.
She was born in the Philippines and came to the United States several years ago.
She was a real estate agent for First Premier Real Estate in Rochelle Park.
Surviving is survived by her husband, Glen.
A blessing was offered March 22 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield; a memorial Mass was celebrated on March 24.
Burial was in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Arrangements were made by the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.

Angela Hanley
 
BERGENFIELD — Angela Hanley (nee Facchin), 78, of Bergenfield died Palm Sunday, March 16.
Born in North Bergen, she lived in Bergenfield for the past 41 years.
Mrs. Hanley was head teller at Oritani Savings and Loan in Cliffside Park for many years. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church.
She is survived by her husband, Richard F. Hanley; her son, Richard Hanley and his wife Keri; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn.
There was a funeral liturgy at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield on Wednesday, March 19. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview.

Charles R. Near
BERGENFIELD — Charles R. Near, 59, of Bergenfield died March 16.
Mr. Near was a graduate of Ithaca College.
Before retiring this year, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Dumont for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children, Kendall O’Callaghan and her husband Eugene, and Bryan Near; his parents, Glenn and Marjorie; and a sister, Suzanne.
There was a funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home in Bergenfield on Thursday, March 20. Interment was in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Memorial contributions to the Humane Society would be appreciated.

Theresa Idone
BERGENFIELD — Theresa Idone of Bergenfield died March 19.
She was born in New York City, the daughter of Anthony and Maria Tropiano.
She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield.
Predeceased by her husband, Frank, she is survived by her children, Paula Jankowski, Maria Molfetas and her husband Pete, Carmine Idone and his wife Lucy; grandchildren, Frank, Terri, Nicholas, Mike and Nikki; five great-grandchildren; and many neighbors and friends at Brookside Gardens.
There was a funeral service on Friday, March 21 at Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield. Entombment was in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Washington Township.
