DUMONT — Veronica M. Rieck Romaine, 67, of Dumont, died Feb. 15 in Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.

She was born in Englewood and lived the last 44 years in Dumont.

Before retiring in May 2001, she was a registered nurse for Tenafly OBGYN in Tenafly working for 40 years. She was a 1961 graduate of the Englewood Hospital School of Nursing.

Surviving are her husband John R.; her children, John B. and his wife Sherri Romaine of Holland, Pa., Cheryl and her husband David Krouse of Bangor, Pa., Robert C. Romaine of Dumont, Richard T. and his wife Sheila Romaine of Dumont, and James A. and his wife Jennifer Romaine of Pompton Lakes; her brother, Charles Rieck of Bergenfield; and six grandchildren, Allison, Daniel and Nicholas Krouse, and Meghan, Patrick and Molly Romaine,

The Rev. David Wiley officiated at a funeral service on Feb. 19 at the Frech Funeral Home in Dumont. Burial was in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.

Anne E. Gerbracht

BERGENFIELD — Anne E. Gerbracht (nee Christ), 85, of Bergenfield died Feb. 15 at Care One at Valley, Westwood.

She was born in Nederhadmier, Germany.

Mrs. Gerbracht was a member of the Lady Foresters of America, Rebeckah Lodge 62, and the New Milford Senior Activity Center.

Predeceased by her husband, Robert, and a son, Donald, she is survived by her son, Richard Gerbracht and his wife MaryFrances; daughter, Barbara Kontos (Gerbracht) and her husband George; and grandchildren, Thomas, Dimitri, Alexandra and Nikolas Kontos and Effie Kontos Siedman and her husband Jonathan.

There was a funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, on Tuesday, Feb. 19 followed by interment in Brookside Cemetery, Englewood.

Vera Vietri

DUMONT — Vera Vietri (nee Sergio) of Dumont died Feb. 19 at home.

She was born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. She was a Dumont resident for 49 years.

She retired after 35 years as an office manager for Dr. Bernard Eisenstein of Englewood.

Predeceased by a brother, Felix Sergio, she is survived by Louis, her husband of 57 years; three sons and their wives, Louis and Janet Vietri of Dumont, Nicholas and Margaret Vietri of Ringwood, and Michael and Lynn Vietri of Dumont; a sister, Mena Borges; a brother, Michael Sergio; and seven grandchildren, Erin and her husband Howard Blackwood, Scott, Kristen, Ashley, Amanda, Michael and Jake Vietri.

The funeral was Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave, Dumont, with burial in George Washington Memerial Park, Paramus.
