Interfaith Thanksgiving service is set
NEW MILFORD
New Milford congregations will join together for an interfaith Thanksgiving service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23 at New Milford Presbyterian Church.
Sharing in worship will be the congregations of Congregation Beth Tikvah, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Ascension R.C. Church and New Milford Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Anthony Iovine, pastor of St. Matthew’s Church, will preach.
There will be special music by the combined choirs, led by Jane Jones, organist and choir director of New Milford Presbyterian Church.
Refreshments will be served following the service.
Borough officials and representatives of the police and fire departments, ambulance personnel, and Boy and Girl Scout troops will also attend and help in the service.
The community is invited to bring canned goods and other packaged foods for distribution to those in need.
New Milford Presbyterian Church is located at 737 River Road. Enter on Trenton Street behind the church to reach the parking lot.
