Rose and Norman Schmelz On Thursday, June 5, Rose and Norman Schmelz celebrated 60 years of marriage at Charlie Brown's Restaurant in Tenafly.

Present for the celebration were their children, Norma-Rose and John Elfers, Mark and Angie, Lance, Norman and Carolyn Schmelz, and all six of their grandchildren. The bride's sister, Mary Noto, and sister-in-law, Alice Spano, as well as other family and friends joined in the celebration.

The bride and groom were married 60 years ago in New York City, and have resided in Bergenfield for most of their married lives.
