Elizabeth Sartain and Jonathan Bliss
Sartain – Bliss
Jonathan Daniel Bliss of New Milford and Elizabeth Marie Sartain of Smithtown, N.Y., were married Saturday, June 7 at the First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown.
The Rev. Jimmmy Hulsey officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Jeffrey Bliss. Groomsmen were Joe Weaver, Mike Baroni, Josh Henry, and Dan Lynch, all New Milford High Shool friends of the groom; Thomas Sartain, brother of the bride; and college friend Ben Ceccarialli of Sherman Oaks, Calif., a college friend.
The matron of honor was Cheryl Monter. Bridesmaids included Jerilyn Bliss, sister of the groom; Margaret Oglesby, cousin of the bride; Laura Harter, the "matchmaker" who introduced the couple to each other; and and friends Christina Stetzler and Ronee Swafford, who traveled from California to be part of the event.
A reception for 140 family members and friends was held at the Three Village Inn in Historic Stony Brook, Long Island.
The bride wore a strapless satin dress with a short train, and carried white hydrangeas; the bridesmaids wore short navy silk dresses in a variety of styles and accent colors.
After honeymooning in Antigua, the couple is living in Los Angeles, Calif.
